I love the vibrant orange color of California poppies. In fact, in the Spring time, they cover the slopes of the hills around my house in Sonoma County. You know Spring is here when the poppies bloom, and they are perennial, so they return each year.

Now Korbel California Champagne is releasing a new, limited-edition bottle wrap inspired by the season.  It features a vibrant, beautiful orange petal design with the “Poppy” bottle heralding the return of warm weather in style with a nod to California’s state flower.

Along with an eye-catching look, Korbel’s “Poppy” packaging reflects the premium essence of the award-winning California champagne inside the bottle. Korbel Extra Dry is light and luscious with delightful flavors of bright citrus and vanilla. The balanced and fruit-forward style of Extra Dry makes it the perfect springtime cocktail companion.  As with all Korbel’s expressions, it’s made using the time-honored méthode champenoise.

The special ‘Poppy’ bottle is perfect to celebrate with for Mother’s Day, or during a weekend brunch with family and friends. I also think its fun to take to a picnic or an afternoon out on the beach. The “Poppy” bottle makes it more festive.

Limited cases (just over 5,000 9L cases) were produced of the special “Poppy” bottle of Korbel California Extra Dry.  This special package is hitting shelves in select retail locations now, with a suggested retail price of $13.99.
